Born and raised in Chicago heights, Hugo found solace in 80s and early 90s hip-hop. He started writing and performing but eventually found a new love in various rock bands. Today his biggest influences are Michael Knott, Gene Eugene, Van Morrison, Weezer, Tripping Daisey, and the Ramones. AMNH is the balance of all these influences but he does write for many side projects.
